Today (7/11) is the last day to enter our Macy’s Discount Card Contest.
If you shop at Macy’s, you might be interested in knowing that we are giving one lucky reader enough Macy’s Discount Cards so that they can get a 10% Discount through March 31, 2011.
Enter the contest HERE (contest ends at 11:59 EDT TODAY, Sunday, July 11, 2010 and was part of a 4th of July memories post).
For more information about the Macy’s 10% Discount Card, read my post HERE.
4th. of July Memories. Macy’s Disocunt Card Contest.
I started to compose this post yesterday (7/4/10) with the intentions of coming back and finishing after I watched the Magic Kingdom fireworks, for free, from a very close by development, Very close to the Summerport Publix. We can see the fireworks from our back yard, but we are about 4 fours away. The location I have found is roughly a half mile from Reams Road and then the fireworks are about the same distance from Reams.
Last year we watched the fireworks from a field near the 429 entry ramp from New Independence Blvd (maybe Way). Here we were pretty much the only non-BIG pick up truck driving families there. Both locations had us watching the entire show instead of having to move our head from a blast here to one over there. Neither location has piped in sound. Though you can feel the concussion at either location, the 429 location is roughly 4 to 5 miles away. The residential location is where you see the firework explode and then instantly hear/feel the concussion.
Some of my other favorite 4th of July fireworks memories are (and always with family and or friends):
Near the USMC Memorial in Arlington, VA.
The rededication of the Statue of Liberty in NYC.
St. Pete Beach, FL.
Steamboat Springs, CO.
Taipei, Taiwan.
But, of all those places, the best place I like to be on the 4th is wherever I am with friends and family enjoying the same experience.
Thank you for hanging in there with this post. As you may (or may not) know, Macy’s sponsors the NYC fireworks display. If you remember this POST we have found some Macy’s 10% OFF Discount Cards. After the first use the discount card is valid for 30 days.
So, lets have a contest (for 8 of the discount cards, which equal one per month until the promotion is over on March 31, 2011), that is VERY EASY to enter.
Here is how you enter:
1. Leave a post with one or more of your favorite memories/locations that you have enjoyed the 4th of July fireworks from. That is all you have to do to be entered in to the contest.
2. IF YOU WANT EXTRA ENTRIES, do either one or both of these (1 extra entry for twitter or Facebook for a total MAX of 2 extra entries):
Twitter, tweet the following: “I just left a 4th of July memory at http://bit.ly/aNsAiF. I hope I win the contest.”
Facebook: “I just left a 4th of July memory on www.FrugalFloridian.com. I hope I win the contest.”
This contest will end on Sunday, July 11, 2010 at 11:59PM EDT.
The winner will be picked randomly and announced on July 12, 2010.
Disclaimer: This contest is not authorized or sponsored by Macy’s or the Orlando/Orange County Convention & Visitors Bureau. If you live in the Orlando area, you can get some of these cards in person by going to the Official Orlando Vsitors Center.
Good luck to all who enter.
Attention Macy’s Shoppers, 10% Discount Card Located.

If you are a brick and mortar Macy’s shopper, we have found a discount card that will grant you a 10% Discount at over 800 Macy’s stores across the Continental United States plus Hawai’i, Guam, and Puerto Rico for 30 days after the first purchase with the card. I have no idea if they have these in the stores or not, but I want to help you get it if you are interested.
From what I can tell, they do not record where you live, they simply stamp the front of the card with the first date of use.
This card is not valid for online purchases.
So that you can read the card’ the terms and conditions I scanned it:

So dear readers, which would you prefer, a contest where the winner would get a few of these cards and would also send the runner ups one of the cards, or just have you leave a comment for them, and only get one per request until we run out. Unlike the water coupon, we DO have a set amount of the Macy’s discount cards.
We decided to have a contest with the one lucky winner receiving enough of these cards to last them through March 31, 2011. Enter HERE (part of the 4th of July memories post).
