Image test 2

I am tweaking a setting in our RSS feed and need to make sure it works.

FrugalFloridian.com is now back online.

I am posting this so that the linking social media sites are notified.

UPDATE: All is well in the land of FrugalFloridian.com. Was a database issue. Pretty much now the only things affected are missing images, which I will be working on to reconnect.

Thank you to everyone that sent emails asking if everything was ok.

CanCun Grill in Winter Garden Coupons Found.

I do not remember where I picked this up at the other day, maybe a Walgreens. The reason I picked it up is because I saw the logo for CanCun Grill, a Mexican Restaurant located at 15493 Stoneybrook West Pkwy in Winter Garden. This is the shopping center that has the Walgreens in it.

They have a full page ad in the booklet. The two deals (dine in only) that they are highlighting, and need the coupon in the booklet to take advantage of, are:
Buy a Meal, Get the Second Meal at Half Price (with the purchase of 2 beverages).
Free Margarita with the purchase of a Fajita Meal.

Both coupons expire on July 5, 2010.

Starting on June 12th, they are inviting everyone to come watch the World Cup with them.

We had dinner there the night they opened and it was very satisfying. The prices are family friendly, and they really appreciate you as a customer. The husband and wife team that own CanCun Grill have been in the restaurant business for decades, owning several International Drive establishments and a local pizza chain. Every customer is treated like a long lost friend, and they hope you feel at home. This is truly a family business.

Please realize that I am not one to tell people, “Oh you gotta try this dish, or that dish” but I have yet found anything on their menu that I would not order again.

Calling in Sick.

UPDATE: 7:20PM 5/10/10
Thank you everyone that has left a comment or sent me an email. I appreciate each and every one of them.

Still have high temp, but Dr. told me that I don’t have the flu or strep. Just a wicked sinus and ear infection. I go from having the sweats (body fighting the infections) to getting chilled as if I am laying in the snow. I can type without it hurting finally. On the bright side, I was lost 18 pounds in the past couple of days.

Hello everyone. I am not feeling well, and actually have made an appointment to go see our Dr. It started earlier ysterday but right now, even typing this post is painful.

Thank you for understanding,
Mark

Happy Mother’s Day.

To all our readers that are moms, mothers, Grandmas, Grandmothers, and more, Kathy and I hope that you are able to share this special day with the people that you want to spend it with and have a most wonderful day.

Under One Roof, a Different Kind of Survey Company

Under One Roof is a survey company that is new to me, but since it is sponsored by HGTV, Food Network, and diy Network, I decided to join. I took the first survey, about TV watching and what my watching habits are. It does not reward you point for doing surveys, but enters you in to sweepstakes.

Between taking the kids to school, doing FrugalFloridian.com research, picking the kids up from school, and a bunch more during the day and night, I am not a huge survey taking person. The info on their site states that there will be up to 6 surveys a month.

If you decide to join also, let us know and let us know what you think.

Your Daily Vitamin, In Email Form

VitalJuice is an amazing company (and no, it is not a juicing company) that I found a while back. Yes, almost all of the information is geared towards women, but they also have recipes and many of the tips are suitable for both women and men.

To find out more, click here.

Great Survey Program – Join Now

I seldom talk about survey programs, but this one you should not miss out on.

Pinecone Research is one of the best paying survey program around.  They are taking new applications.  Click HERE to register.  I have yet to start a survey and not qualify, plus they deposit directly to my PayPal account within a few days of completing the survey!

HBO’s “You Don’t Know Jack” Screening

Not sure about you, but when I hear the words “You Don’t Know Jack” I think of the hit computer/video game by the same title. After I clicked the link on ILoveFreeThings.com I found out that it as for an Al Pacino movie about Jack Kevorkian.

Here is the link for how to get your E-Ticket  Screening Passes.
The screening dates are Thursday, April 15 or Monday, April 19 in the following cities:

Atlanta
Boston
Chicago
Dallas
Los Angeles
New York
Philadelphia
San Francisco
Washington, DC

Very busy past weekend & Passover.

Kathy and I were very busy with family and professional events this past weekend. Add in a generous helping of preparing our house for a Passover Seder that we are sharing with our neighbors, I have not been able to visit any store, since Friday evening.

Later tonight I will be back with the details of our next contest, a $50.00 Gift Card to a national supermarket chain.

Hot Topic

50% OFF CLEARANCE BLOWOUT AT HOTTOPIC.COM

No, I did not actually plan for the three blocks above to show as big, bigger, biggest (can any guess what bedtime story book that line is from). No, I don’t shop at Hot Topic for myself, but I know that my teenage nieces and nephews like their stuff from HotTopic.com.

Like Taking Surveys? Have you heard of Toluna?

Earn $1-$5 each time you qualify and take surveys. Test products for free and share your opinions! Plus you will get an entry for a $2,500 sweepstakes when you register! Click Here to Join Toluna.

LightSpeed, one of our favorite survey sites.

Lightspeed U.S. Holiday 300x250
Lightspeed is a survey company that (maybe due to my demographic) sends me many more surveys then other companies. Plus, some of the surveys only sap a few minutes of my time, instead of a couple of companies that suck nearly a half hour of my time, and the longer the survey takes, I ALWAYS fear that the next screen is going to be “Sorry, you do not fit our demographic” and in digital POOF, there goes a portion of my life that I will never get back. But, Lightspeed DOES try to lessen the pain of being tossed by having an “Instant Sweepstakes”. Haven’t won anything.

The other nice aspect with Lightspeed is that they will pay you via PayPal.

To find out more, either click on the image above or here.

Thanks, Mark
