Have You Joined Swagbucks?
I originally was going to title this “I Love Swagbucks“, but it sounded a tad bit weird.
A couple of days ago I won my 7,000th Swagbuck and am holding on to them until I use them to purchase gift cards, mostly to Amazon for Christmas and Hanukah shopping ($5.00 Amazon GC is only 450 Swagbucks). Maybe a few of those Amazon Gift Cards will be given away to some lucky FrugalFloridian.com readers.
For those that have no idea what swagbucks is, it is a search engine that pays you to use it. No, NOT EVERYTIME you search, but you will be surprised how often you will gain “SwagBucks” just for typing a few characters into their search bar.
Here is the painless method to join (and find out more prior to signing up):
1. Go here and register.
Both Kathy and I have enjoyed searching via SwagBucks, and like telling people about the company.

A Much Needed Break and Call for Help in Typing.
Hello Everyone,
Kathy made it very clear on Friday that I needed a break and we decided to redeem some points, load the kids into the car, and escape to the beach. The one rule was that I had to leave my laptop at home.
I could explain how I get to this point, but it is really boring. Suffice to say is that not only do I burn the candle at both ends, but will also take a match to the center portion. I need a break sometimes. Getting 4 hours a sleep a day is “normal” to me. I did not say it was healthy, just my normal.
My life has always been like this sinking my teeth into things and not letting go until it is finished. The only thing is, in running the type of blog that FrugalFloridian.com is, there isn’t a finish. Just a ton of research and lots of typing, which is my weak spot. Though the weeks change, there is a pretty set schedule to the way FrugalFloridian.com operates.
So, I turn to you my readers, I need help in typing the weekly Central Florida inserts. All I need is for 3 readers to step forward and type up their choice of the Albertsons, Winn-Dixie or Publix inserts in our style (name of product, size, and price as a text file), and I will do the coupon match-ups. You would receive the insert as a PDF file, and all that I ask is that you are able to type the information in correctly. This would be a voluntary position for the time being, but an important one because you would be helping your fellow FrugalFloridian.com readers save money. I realize I could just tell everyone to head on over to website so and so to find their Albertsons, Winn-Dixie, or Publix information, but most of them do not cater to Florida readers, and the few that do either point out only what they feel are deals or present the information in a sometimes confusing manner. Also, from day one I have firmly believed that people have a differing view on what a deal is to them, and I like including the entire insert, minus store brands. After all, though to many of our readers, a diaper deal is important, but to others, getting BOOST for a buck or two is just as important to them.
So, can 3 people help me in the typing department? The timeframe I need the typing done is Tuesday afternoon through Wednesday morning.
Please leave a comment if are able to help FrugalFloridian.com continue helping people save money.
Thank you,
Mark
No Grocery Shopping Today, 9/3/10
Hello Everyone. Shopping just was not in the cards today. Kathy and I may not shop this weekend. We have enough to last us through most of next week. We will have to buy some milk and veggies at some point, but I am just not up to doing much right now.
I need to listen to my body and just let it relax and lay off the two pots of coffee which is actually a pot before 11am and then nursing the second pot all day and at some point mixing the grounds and what is left in the pot together and feeding it to our garden.
Though we did not shop for groceries, please share how your shopping trip went this week. Even if you are just starting out, that is OK,
we and your fellow readers are here to help.
If you have never filled out a Mister Linky before, simply state how much you SAVED this week (We use “FrugalFloridian SAVED __%” for the name, and then if you have a blog, feel feel to post a link DIRECTLY to your blog’s post for this week’s savings.
My Dear and Faithful Readers, my body is telling me something.
Hello Everyone,
As you can see, the weekly lists for Publix, Albertsons, and Winn-Dixie are not yet up. For that I am truly sorry.
Since Tuesday night I have felt very tired and unlike the usual borderline exhausted feeling I live with, but ignored it and worked through it as best as I could. I just drank stronger coffee and ate a bunch of high energy food. Being ill from Tuesday through Thursday is just not an option for me for several reasons, one of which is FrugalFloridian.com. Especially this week because I did not have safety net in my Mom, some call them Mother in Laws, but I call Kathy’s Mom Mom. Sleeping just seemed to make matters worse.
Right now the lists have been typed, but I am lagging big time as I sweat (but do not have a fever), really strange feeling. In the middle of updating our online coupon database, and then doing the actual match-ups. I hope to be done around 4pm.
Thank you for your patience, Mark
