Why We Love Coupons on 10/01/10, 67% Savings

Below is our reason why we love using coupon this week.
Please share your successes.

Publix: Total Spent $57.72, Saved $63.34, 50% Savings

Here are the 2 coupons we used:
1 – $5.00/$50.00 Albertsons Coupon from the 9/29 Orlando Sentinel
1 – 50¢ Kraft Jet-Puffed Coupons from TEARPAD

This was Operation Stock Up on Meat week for Kathy and I. Albertsons has a GREAT deal on boneless/skinless chicken breast, $1.79/lb. The ribs were B1G1, and the roast and ground beef were also on sale. They were not the reason we went to Albies, the S/B Chicken Breasts were. You see the Jet-Puffed, long story short, the kids asked for marshmallows the other day and not being the hot chocolate season quite yet in the Sunshine State, we of course did not have any. Well, I first spotted the 50¢/1 coupon tearpad, but our daughter was the one that won me over. No sale price shown anywhere the huge dump display, but in the end it was very much worth spending a whooping $1.09 (after the coupon) to see her being a hapy go lucky kid.

Albertsons $5/$50 Coupon in September 29th Newspaper

Just received my Albertsons weekly insert via the US Postal Service and THERE IS a $5.00/$50.00 coupon. Which means that there will be one in the 9/29/10 Orlando Sentinel, which is available all other Central Florida.

If you are lucky enough to live within 5 miles or so of an Albertsons, there should be a $5.00/$50.00 coupon on the front page of their insert. This coupon is valid 9/2-5 (Friday, Saturday and Sunday).

If you are tired of driving to the corner market just to purchase the Orlando Sentinel, why not sign up for home delivery (at up to 65% OFF)?

Read this POST from the other day for all the details.

Have a great day today, and I will have the complete Albertsons, Winn-Dixie, and Publix deals with match-ups online soon.

A Change IS Underway at FrugalFloridian.com

When Kathy and I started FrugalFloridian.com over a year ago, as far as we knew at the time (and Kathy had already been doing couponing for several years online) there was not ONE blog that had Floridia Centric grocery store pricing. Yes, there WERE blogs that were based in Florida, some even had Florida cities in their name, but the majority of the information presented was based on out of state information and like the other sites, treated our state as a second class shopping area. Pricing was not the same, blogs that listed only the final price were using double/triple coupons in their equations, it was a frustrating time. Out of that frustration FrugalFloridian.com was born. Our main goal was to show people Where and How to Save Money, whether it be at the grocery store, shopping for other items at stores, and on things to do in the State of Florida.

Starting next week I will have the new format in place for how the Florida based coupon match-ups will be presented for Publix, Winn-Dixie, and Albertsons. This change relates only to the weekly inserts, and not the other monthly inserts.

You will still post when I find Blinkies, Tearpads, Booklets, etc. and other stores. Such as, showing you where to find high value coupons for the stores in Downtown Disney.

In the coming weeks I will debut a feature that I know our Florida based readers and visitors to the Sunshine State will appreciate immensely.

True to the name FrugalFloridian.com, we will continue to show you Where and How to Save In Florida.
