Interesting Hair Cuttery Coupon, or when is a $25 Purchase not a $25 Purchase.

I found this $5/$25 coupon in the August 29th Orlando Sentinel. To see what else I found, please view this POST.

The wording of this coupon piqued my interest because I wondered what Hair Cuttery considered a purchase to be. I have now called 4 different salons in the Orlando area, and received 3 different answers. 2 told me that each person’s bill is rung up separately, and that that coupon is really meant for women who are getting a bunch of services done. The other salon told me that she THINKS it would be ok to have 2 haircuts as one purchase (my young son and I), but she wasn’t sure. The one hold out told me to call her corporate office and to talk to someone about selling them advertising. After she finally understood that I was not selling advertising but was calling about a Hair Cuttery coupon, she told me that her store does not accept coupons and then said she had to go and hung up.

So, does anyone out there know what Hair Cuttery considers to be a purchase?

  • Hello and thank you for your question. If you text “SAVE5″ to the number listed in the coupon, you’ll receive the following message back:

“HairCuttery: Show msg @ local HairCuttery 2 recv $5 off any service $25 or more. EXP 10/26 restrictions aply RING CODE 7968. Reply VIP 2 recv future offers!”

The coupon applies to SERVICES (i.e. haircuts) and NOT RETAIL items (i.e. styling products). As long as you spend $25 or more on a service (or more than one service such as color or waxing) the coupon will allow you to subtract $5 off the final bill. You can also have more than one person’s services on the final bill as long as the total is more than $25 the coupon will still apply.

I hope that answers your question!
