I have verified this story from a couple of sources, plus checked with lizclaiborne.com, which now consists of just a single image placeholder with the following text, “A beautiful union, soon you will find all your favorite Liz Claiborne styles including women’s apparel, accessories, and luggage at JCPenney, Coming August 2010″.
