Because you may need wristbands for an event.

I wish that when I was involved with promoting concerts and sporting events, it would have been as easy as clicking the above image for me to place an order on a vast variety of wristbands. Maybe your event is a school fair, or church carnival, they have everything you need, wristband wise.

I just found out about WristbandExpress.com but besides the ever popular Tyvek wristband, as seen at nightclubs, racing events, concerts, and more, they also excel at providing Plastic Security Bands, Vinyl Dura-Bands, Duplicate Pair Identification and Removable Tabs Wristbands.

They also offer seasonal bands, which right now include many Spring/Summer types of activities, as well as an American Flag wristband.

From the WristbandExpress.com website: “WristbandExpress.com is one of the web’s most popular wristband stores! With over 1 million wristbands shipped per day in a unique and unmatched shopping environment. Join the wristband experts.”

Here’s How To Enter This Contest:
In an effort to make entering our contests as easy as possible all we need you to do are two things. The first and only way to be officially entered is to leave a comment on this page, then do any ONE of these steps (you do not need to do all four):

1. Like FrugalFloridan on Facebook, and leave a comment on YOUR wall about this contest. If you are already like FrugalFloridan on Facebook then just leave a comment regarding this giveaway. A generic comment such as “I hope I will win” will not be counted (BUT if you were to write “I hope I win the www.FrugalFloridian.com $25.00 Sam’s Club Gift/Pillsbury Brownie Giveaway” that WOULD be valid. Just make sure to include the www.FrugalFloridian and gift card info portions and the post will be valid. Doing this will earn you one extra entry.

2. Subscribe to our feed via email (using Feedburner).

3. If you have a blog, post an entry this giveaway on your blog and email us your direct link to the blog post.

4. Follow us via twitter.com/FrugalInFla (must have at least 10 followers) then tweet the following: “@FrugalInFla is having a $25.00 Sam’s Club Gift/Pillsbury Brownie Giveaway. More info: http://bit.ly/bSeXII”. Doing this will earn you two extra entries. If you already follow us on Twitter, simply tweet about the contest.

Don’t forget to leave a comment ON THIS POST. If you don’t leave a post to this post, you are not officially entered into this contest.

This contest will end at 11:59pm PDT on Sunday, June 6, 2010 with the winner (as determined via Random.org) being announced on Monday, June 7, 2010.

Goodluck.

Have A Most Pleasurable Shopping Trip!

FAKE Doritos and Pepsi Products Coupons.

I just want to give everyone a heads up on two coupons that I have run across via email. One is for a FULL PAGE SHEET of $5.00 OFF any Doritos product coupons and the other is for FREE Pepsi Products.

Here is what you will find if you do a search for “Doritos Coupon” on fritolay.com and then click on the second result from the top (because fritolay.com uses Google for their searching, the result may be at the top of the list soon). Here is the result you are looking for:

Once you have located this result, clicking on the highlighted result will take you to a FAQ page, and here is what you will read:
“Q. Is this $5 Doritos Coupon valid?
A. No. The $5 Doritos coupon that is being spread throughout the internet is counterfeit. It was not created, authorized or distributed by Frito-Lay. We are taking steps to notify our retail customers about the fraudulent coupon and to identify its source. You should not knowingly use a counterfeit coupon. We sincerely apologize for the disappointment and confusion this has caused. Please watch for valid coupons and sales in stores, magazines, Sunday newspaper ads, and on our official websites. Below is a copy of the fraudulent coupon.”

If you want to see the the REWARD Notice regarding the Doritos Coupons, go here.

Here is what the Pepsi coupon looks like. I won’t point out all the areas that jumped out at me when I first saw this coupon, but suffice to say that whoever produced it does not spell words very well.

Wen someone sends me an email and asks me if I know if it is fake or not, the first resource I go to, after my gut telling me its thoughts, is cents-off.com. This is the website for the Coupon Information Corporation, which is a type of association for retailers and manufacturers to come together about counterfeit coupons. It has the most up to date database of counterfeit coupons that I know of. I am not surprised that they are offline right now due to the fact that their servers are overloaded right now. I was just there at 2:38AM EDT on 5/27/10 to copy the URL for the Doritos Reward Notice.

It is my sincere hope that no one actually attempted to redeem either of these coupons.

Mark

Albertsons $5/$50 Coupon in 5/26 Orlando Sentinel.

There is  an Albertsons $5.00/$50.00 coupon on the front page of their weekly advertising insert in the Orlando Sentinel. It is valid from 5/27-5/30/10.

If you get home delivery, YOU MIGHT have received the coupon. Why do I say MIGHT, because the papers are zoned and Albertsons in the past has not included this coupon in areas that do not have an Albertsons (usually limited to a 5 mile radius of a store).

All is not lost for those readers that either do not get home delivery of the Orlando Sentinel, or did not receive the coupon in their daily paper. Head on over to any store that sells the newspaper, look in the edition for the Albertsons section, and if the coupon IS there, then you are one happy shopper, and now you need to buy that newspaper.

They have been tweaking the wording in the terms, so make sure to review it to avoid any “at the checkout” confusion/embarrassment. The coupon now clearly states at the bottom of the terms that “Coupon is redeemed after manufacturer’s and store coupons.” Because of that line, YES, Publix WILL honor this competitor’s coupon, but will not redeem the coupon until after manufacturer’s and store coupons have been used. If you store has not already started to enforce with type of policy, they will. This goes all the way up the chain to Lakeland. They are simply following the terms stated on the coupon.

Another new feature to the coupon is in two different places it states “LIMIT 1”. I asked the customer service manager at the Windermere store if this meant that you can only use one per transaction, or can you still use 1 coupon per $50.00 spent. She told me that there is a 1 coupon limit per transaction regardless if the total after other coupons was $50.01 or $100.01, you can only use one coupon.

We will have the entire Albertsons deals for May 26 – June 1 up later today.
