Publix Savings with the Entertainment book.

As you may already know, or are about to learn, Publix stores system wide will redeem coupons from their competitors. Now, what the actual definition of the term competitor is up to the actual district/regional manger and the store manager.

If your area has both Save-a-Lot stores and Publix stores, in the 2010 Entertainment book there is a page with FIVE (5) $5.00/$20.00 Save-a-Lot coupons, which is a total savings of $25.00. We sell the Entertainment book for just $15.00 per copy with free shipping. So after your 3rd trip to Publix or Save-a-Lot your ENTIRE 2010 Entertainment book has been paid for.

Plus, with each book purchase you get online access to hundreds of additional local printable coupons and incredible online shopping discounts not found in the book.

To order your copy of the Entertainment book, or an Entertainment book for another city that you visit often, click here.

Because I love doing research for our readers, here is the list of editions in Florida that DO contain the $5.00/$30.00 Save-A-Lot coupons:
Ft. Lauderdale/West Palm Beach
Jacksonville
Orlando
Space Coast/Brevard County
St. Petersburg/Clearwater
Tampa

One last little tidbit, sometimes when you purchase more than one Entertainment book (for a different city), the additional books are $10.00 each. I have yet to figure out which books are $10.00 each as a second book though. I have placed a call to Entertainment to find out. I will update this post when I hear back. If you order 2 books for the same city, the price is $15.00 per book, still a GREAT DEAL. Remember, this offer comes with FREE SHIPPING.

To take advantage of this offer, simply click HERE, or the banner above or any of the links. If you life outside the state of Florida, you can also find the Entertainment closest to your city by clicking HERE.

Does it have to be 2 books from separate cities to get the $10 price on the 2nd book? Because I put (2) Orlando books in my cart and the subtotal was $30. So I didn’t complete the transaction. Thanks for letting me know!

    Hi Frooglemom,
That is so weird, because when I was trying it I was using the Orlando + Space Coast books, which DOES provide the $10.00 rate fo rhte 2nd. book. But after your comment, I tried to find a simply method to figure out which books are $10.00 for a second copy, and the more sent things to the cart the more obvious it was that it was not on all books.

I have edited the post to reflect our findings. But, like I mention in the post, even at $15.00 a book, you are still getting a great deal. Now you just have redeem 6 of the Save-a-Lot coupons.

Just wondering… Aren’t 2 of the Sav-alot coupons already expired?

  • Mark says:

    Hi LadyO,
Not sure because we have already used the top 3 ones. Until you commented we did not even see the exp date nor did the Publix cashiers who redeemed them. Like us, they likely just saw the SAVE $5.00 on $20.00 or more. After using a magnifying glass we see that the remaining two coupons are for April 1 – July 31 and Aug 1 – Oct 31, 2010. Still, even with only coupons left to use at either Save-a-Lot or Publix, you still are only paying $5.00 for ALL of the other coupons in the book.

Can confirm that 2 of the Sav-a-lot q’s are indeed expired but there are 2 more left that are still valid. Also check stores like Borders, Cvs, Walgreens, etc…I scanned one of the books at Cvs and it was $15. IF they don’t sell soon, I’m sure they will be marked down even lower *fingers crossed*

    Kim,
Which Entertainment book do you have? The Orlando book, has 5 Save-a-Lot coupons. IF you only have 4 in your book, please let me know. When I spoke to

Last year I was hoping that the CVS and Wags near us were going to go the deep discount route on the Entertainment book, but it never happened. From what I remember is that it was pretty much one day they were on display and the next day they were gone, at all outlets except online.

I know that for our family, the Save-a-Lot coupons were simply icing on the cake. We use several coupon books, (the Entertainment book, and one that is similar in concept but by another company), and purchase multiple copies of both. Between the grocery store coupons, and the dining deals, we make back the price of the books within a few purchases.

    Hi Mark,

I have the St Petersburg, Pinellas, & West Pasco edition of the 2010 Entertainment book. It had 5 of the Save a-Lot $5/$20 coupons of which 3 are now expired. Thanks for the info on CVS/Wags not discounting them further…I will keep an eye out but not get my hopes up. I have a couple of these books that I bought using RR’s last year when they first came out and LOVE them. You’re absolutely right, soooo many great coupons that the SAL q’s were just icing on the coupon cake :) Kim

  • Evie says:

Is it true that 3 of the 5 SAL q’s are expired?

  • Mark says:

    Evie,
From what Kim has been saying, yes, the top three (which we have already used) have expired. We used them in the last month at SW Orlando Publix stores.

Remember though that there are many coupons for other places, places to eat, have fun, etc, in the book that like Kim said above, the SAL q’s were just icing on the coupon cake.

Forgot to mention that when you get the book, you also get to register online to get more printable coupons. I did this and found some great coupons including a $5/$50 printable for a local natural foods grocery store chain. I am able to use these at Publix as competitor q’s :D
